Brandon Bollig may have scored his first and only goal of his 2013-2014 season last night. Even if it was a preseason goal.
The 6’2” left wing was one of the few Blackhawks to go goal-less in the shortened 2013 season that brought the Stanley Cup to Chicago, but regardless of his low (if any) point totals, Bollig’s name will still be immortalized on Lord Stanley in a much deserved way.
Scoring big simply isn’t what Bollig is brought onto the ice to do. He brings size and big hits that contribute immensely towards the momentum and control of every Hawks’ game he laces up his skates.
#52’s last tally on the scoresheet was during the 2011-2012 playoffs in Phoenix on April 14. While his offensive skills may be lacking, the 26 year old is spending plenty of time in the box for his tireless efforts to break down every Blackhawks’ opponent.
