Anyone Up for a Road Trip?

The Chicago Blackhawks kicked off their nine game road trip on Tuesday. The Hawks will spend just under twenty days away from the United Center before they return home to face the St. Louis Blues on February 19. Lengthy road game series are common in the NHL, and have been a point of concern in recent negotiations for the possible NHL realignment.

: The Chicago Blackhawks will travel to 9 cities between Jan. 31 and Feb. 18.

The Blackhawks do not have a good road game record this season, losing 11 of the 21 Away match-ups before this road trip began. On their last sizable road trip back in November, the @NHLBlackhawks only tallied three wins of the six game series, falling to teams they will meet again in these next two weeks on the road.

While the Blackhawks will have a few days to return home and recoup in between some of these games, this road trip is going to be a challenge for the Chicago team, who until recently held the No.1 one spot in the Western Conference, but have since fallen to No. 6.
